UNITED FOR YOU MY CHILD

It has been awhile since my last update. It’s not that we don’t have news. We have been extremely busy, tons and tons of paperwork.  I have heard from other adoptive mothers that it’s like a paperwork pregnancy. Some days I even feel a little morning sickness.  There is a purpose in this process.  I know that we are not alone in this process. Many adoptive families are going through the exact same emotions that we are feeling right now. As a Christian I have been taught that you receive strength by being filled with the Holy Spirit. I trust that the Spirit lives within me, and I will ask him to help me with strength and patience through our process. In the end, every hurdle we have to jump over, or every mountain we have to climb, will be well worth it when we finally hold our precious son, who God has chosen for us.

In the mean time I would like to share with you this special picture of our wrists. Notice we are all wearing the same bracelet. These bracelets are Ethiopian colors, and we are wearing them until our son and brother comes home. My friend Erica, who I have mentioned several times in my blog, has a daughter named Shana who made these bracelets. Shana is in 6th grade and is going to Ethiopia this summer on a mission trip. She was raising money for her plane ticket, and to buy things to donate to the children at the orphanages. Shana was selling them in sets. When you bought a set she sent you one and the other matching bracelet she will give to a child in Ethiopia. She will take a picture of this child or at least try to get their name and age. Shana is an amazing 12 year old girl. I’m so excited to see how God uses her in Ethiopia. I can’t help but think that just maybe one of those children she gives a bracelet to just may be mine. I know the chances are slim but I know I have a big God and with him anything is possible. Thanks for following along. I will be updating my blog sooner than later this time. I have more news and stories to share with all of you. I should have the update done by the end of this week, if not sooner. Thank you again for all your support. So many of you write very nice comments on my updates on my Facebook and blog, or even a simple like melts my heart and lets me know you are here for us. Thank you from the bottom of our heart. It truly is what keeps us going. Friends and family and God! WE LOVE YOU ALL!
